Job Title: Health, Safety & Sustainability (ESG) Manager
Location: Southampton, UK
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Company Car/Allowance
Cranleigh STEM are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for our client, a leading UK Industrial equipment supplier based near Southampton, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager (ESG) with expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. As the Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager (ESG), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, with a specific focus on ESG considerations across the organization's multi-site operations.
You will predominantly be based out of the businesses Southampton Head Office.
Key Responsibilities:
ESG Strategy and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor ESG strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, social, and governance regulations and standards.
Health & Safety Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership in health and safety, fostering a proactive safety culture across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
ISO Standards Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of these standards.
Change Management:
- Lead and manage change initiatives related to health, safety, and ESG, ensuring successful implementation across the organization.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive positive change in processes and behaviors.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver ESG and health & safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Raise awareness and understanding of ESG issues throughout the organization.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Lead investigations into health, safety, and environmental incidents.
- Compile comprehensive reports, including recommendations for preventative measures.
Multi-Site Coordination:
- Effectively manage health and safety initiatives across multiple sites, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with site managers to address site-specific challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in Health & Safety Management with a focus on ESG in a multi-site environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Change management experience within a multi-site organization.
