The successful Health & Safety Trainee will help support operations with implementing processes in line with industry best practice and minimise the potential for injury and promote business efficiency by having robust health and safety management systems and an industry leading health and safety culture. This role will require both office (London Pirin Court) 1-2 days a week and working from home.
What you'll do:
- Monitoring and Reporting on QEHS Performance
- Assisting operational staff in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and non-conformances and making recommendations for corrective actions
- Support Health & Safety Audits within Asset Management
- Send weekly reminders to Managers to complete their QEHS tasks
- Support Incident Investigations
- Assisting in the preparation of Safe Systems of Work and other QEHS documentation as required.
- Building QEHS Newsletters and campaigns
Who you are:
If you enjoy learning, this position will give you the opportunity to gain a level 3 in Health & Safety Management and will suit you if you are looking to start your career within Health & Safety. If you are organised, able to work to deadlines and have experience of using Word and Excel for reporting then this could be the role for you.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of two A Levels or Equivalent
- Develop QEHS knowledge, experience and skills through training and mentoring
- Sound knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Project suite especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Participate in the team to drive high safety standards across telent
