SalaryLodestone Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a company that specialises in safety equipment. Based in Sheffield they provide accredited training to a range of different companies from Steel Works to the Construction sector. They have a new requirement for an experienced Health & Safety Trainer. The trainer that they are looking for must have experience in either Working from Heights or Confined Spaces.
Candidates should have the following experience to be considered for the role:
Teaching qualification – Level 3 AET or equivalent qualification
Must have be used to presenting to audiences competently and confidently.
Assessor Qualification (TAQA) – or working towards
Have an extensive range of experience and suitable qualifications in the confined space and working height industry and be qualified for the delivery of a complete 6160 suite of Confined Space( low to High + rescue) and working at height qualifications to National Occupational Standards.
Have strong IT skills with a knowledge of presentation packages and equipment.
Ideally have NEBOSH certification
Have some experience in technical training or adult learning.
Be aware of current legislative and industry standards in regards to Working from Heights and/or Confined Spaces.
Ideally have a UK Driving Licence.
The role itself is done both at their training centre located in Sheffield and sometimes onsite with clients nationwide. The successful candidate will have the chance to be involved in the development and continuous improvement of the training division, using the mobile confined space unit on customers sites, and writing and developing the courses and course notes. The role could involve extensive travel (outside of working hours) and staying away from home on a regular basis.

Salary - £35-40k
Regular days - 37.5 hour per week
