About the role
The Academy Grimsby are looking to appoint a committed and dynamic Health & Social Care/Child Development teacher for their 14 – 16 pathway. It is a requirement that the successful candidate has a Health and Social Care or childcare background to ensure suitable delivery of our qualifications.
As a teacher of Health & Social Care subjects, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons which are engaging, informative and challenging. You will also be required to track and monitor each group to ensure achievement of their qualifications.
About the person
Candidates will have experience delivering the theory of the subjects alongside relevant practical skills. It is also essential that candidates have excellent communication skills, strong organisation and administrative skills.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification in curriculum area subject and would ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE/Cert Ed). Candidates should also have experience teaching in a school, college or equivalent within this subject area.
