Responsibilities:
As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students’ understanding of the healthcare system, social dynamics, and the importance of well-being. You will be responsible for:
Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover key topics in health and Social Care, emphasising real world situations and encouraging critical thinking.
Empathy and Communication: Encourage students to develop strong interpersonal skills, empathy and effective communication skills in the context of healthcare interactions.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment and contribute to the development of projects.
Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of achievement, supporting students on their academic journey.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS Check
- Hold qualified teacher status or possess equivalent teaching qualifications and experience within an educational setting.
- Demonstrate a strong background and passion for Health and Social Care, with the ability to inspire students to pursue careers within this field.
Additional Details:
- Hours: This is a fulltime position, Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 3:30pm
- Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
