 To perform daily stock level review and maintenance in the department
 To communicate weekly stock requirements in the department in line with
stocking level guidelines.
 To ensure that stocks are neatly and safely stored away at all times.
 To liaise with Supplies department following consultation with Sister in charge.
 Ensure that the cleanliness and tidiness of Outpatient areas and clinical supplies
areas is maintained at all times.
 Maintain equipment in the department ensuring correct cleaning and safe storage
after use.
 Ensure equipment requiring repair is sent to EBME with appropriate
documentation attached.
 Recognise faults and hazards, report to Estates and follow up the outcome.
• Follow trust guide lines when performing tasks following training.
• To perform patient blood glucose testing and perform urinalysis as required.
• To ensure the availability of snacks and beverages for patients in the department
as necessary.
• To assist in clinical procedures and act as a chaperone and patient advocate at
all times.
• Performs clinical baseline observations and measure patient’s body mass index.
• Be aware of individual patient needs whilst respecting personal dignity and
beliefs.
• To initiate any urgent patient treatment necessary and alert the Registered Nurse
or outreach/emergency teams as required.
A part time position is available for a keen and Enthusiastic band 2 Healthcare Assistant with an interest in dermatology.
The position will be based in the outpatient department and in addition to other roles includes: -
1. Admin support for clinics which will require the successful applicant to be IT literate.
2. Supporting the clinicians with any tests or investigations required and acting as a chaperone.
3. Greeting patients on arrival to the outpatient clinic.
The vacancy is for 30 hours per week.
