Successful candidates need to understand the pressure of care, and the requirements surrounding the job role. It is essential to have good time management and communication skills.
The role of a successful Health Care Assistant will include duties such as:
• Building positive relationships with the residents
• Person centred approach
• General housekeeping
• Assisting clients with daily personal care such as washing, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, feeding
• Provide care and assistance to the highest level
• Working with challenging behaviour
