Healthcare Senior Associate or Legal Director x2 – Manchester
Senior Healthcare Lawyer – Manchester – We are currently instructed on two senior healthcare lawyer positions where our client is looking at experienced solicitors from roughly 5 PQE+. Both clients have a Senior Associate and Legal Director position available in their Manchester teams. They are looking for lawyers with strong Inquest and Healthcare regulatory experience and are keen to chat with candidates with a sold ‘top tier’ background.

- Previous Experience: 6 PQE + – Candidates must have strong Healthcare experience preferably from another national firm. Strong leadership skills are also wanted.
Nature of the work
Both teams have a strong healthcare offering. The mix of work varies slightly with the firm, but the main focus for both firms is Inquest work. Both clients have built a stellar reputation in this area and are often instructed on some of the most sensitive high-profile Inquest cases in the UK. The teams also:
- defend healthcare professionals and organisations in regulatory proceedings before statutory regulators such as the GMC/MPTS, GDC, GOC, GPhC, NMC and HCPC;
- advise on disciplinary proceedings before NHS Trusts and NHS England;
- handle other healthcare matters such as CQC proceedings, data disputes and public inquiries;
- advise on patient complaints as well as SUI and Ombudsman investigations;
One of the teams has a specialist sub-unit who whose key focus is defending healthcare professionals in criminal proceedings.
