NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is rotational day/night 12 hour shifts- Monday-Friday.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months.
A temporary fixed-term post within Older Peoples Mental Health has become available. The successful candidate will deliver care within and Older Peoples Mental Health Ward as a member of the multidisciplinary team. This role includes providing a safe and supportive environment which promotes patient-centred care and recovery. Effective communication is required to promote therapeutic relationships with patients and other professional disciplines. On an ongoing basis, you will identify, respond and report changes in the patient’s physical and psychological needs to a trained member of staff. You will work within GGC policies and procedures to ensure safe working practices, including Infection Control, Health and Safety and Moving and Handling. We invite applicants who share our desire

As part of a multi-disciplinary team the post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals and in line with agreed standards and clinical policies.
