Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) are essential providers of everyday care for our patients. HCSW role is rewarding, it's the kind of job where you will need to be organised, adaptable, resilient, and hardworking. You will need great prioritisation skills, good observational and great empathic skills, and the ability to overcome challenges. You will need to be willing to be hands-on with our patients.

You will start your career with us by taking part in our in-depth induction program, designed to support you in finding your feet within our organisation, and quickly feel part of the team. The induction program leads to Care Certificate.
The HCSW role includes a variety of working patterns which will be across 7 days and possibly include weekends which attract shift allowances.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals, you will be assisting the team with the provision of clinical care for a defined group of patients. In addition, you will take all possible steps to safeguard the welfare, safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.
Typical day-to day duties include:
- Provide care for patients, helping to maintain their personal hygiene, which will sometimes include working with bodily fluids
- Provide physical comfort for patients, whilst ensuring their privacy and dignity is always maintained
- Wash and dress patients, and helping them to safely move around
- Serve meals and help with feeding
- Assist with cleaning tasks and making beds
- Monitor patient condition by taking measurements on temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
- Record information to patient administration system and assist team with other administrative duties
Most importantly, you will ensure patient experience is positive by treating all patients, relatives, and colleagues in accordance with Trust values.
Interviews are expected to take place on the 19th of January.
