Due to a genuine occupational health requirement, we are looking to hire male candidates for this role.
We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of Support Workers at our site in Robin Hood. Carlton House & Cottage provides specialist support for adult males who have a wide range of support needs, which include people with Autism, Aspergers, Learning Disability, associated mental health difficulties. Carlton House & Cottage is situated on a main bus route between Leeds and Wakefield and for people who drive there is ample secure parking on site. The house and cottage has 16 rooms across the service all with ensuite wet rooms, specifically designed to meet the needs of our residents. The service has a large expanse of garden which is well utilised by the residents at all times.
Our determination and resilience through a particularly difficult period has helped our service users get through this pandemic, and raised awareness throughout the nation of the work we do as a team. Our ideal Support Worker will:
Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
Be able to support in house activities and hobbies
Be attentive and inspire our service users to achieve more!
Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
Whilst drivers are able to take residents out and about, you don’t need to be a driver to work here – we employ many non-drivers too!
