We are looking for a Project Manager to launch and manage a 3-year Healthy Lifestyle Programme for learning disabled and autistic people across Leeds. The role will involve recruiting and leading a team of delivery staff and project volunteers, as well as connecting with key delivery partners, decision makers and stakeholders. Quality project management and rigorous monitoring will be key to success. We are seeking someone who is passionate about reducing health inequalities and has a holistic and compassionate approach to Healthy Lifestyles.
What will I be responsible for in my new role?
You will:
- To oversee and manage the delivery of all 4 strands of the Healthy Lifestyle Programme ensuring these are inclusive to all participants.
- To work with the HR Manager to recruit sessional staff and volunteers. To induct new staff and volunteers in line with People in Action policy and procedure.
- To line manage the Healthy Lifestyles sessional staff. To ensure all delivery staff understand the scope of the service as well as their individual responsibilities.
- To promote the project through a wide range of networks using inclusive, person centered approaches.
- To develop a training programme for the “circle of support” utilising new and existing partnerships with Public Health or other key stakeholders.
- To conduct and manage all participant recruitment and referrals to the programme. Including initial enquiries, new member assessments and collecting essential monitoring data
- To develop and lead on the monitoring and reporting processes of the project, ensuring that agreed outcomes are met and evidenced.
- To complete and submit all evaluations and reports to the project funders and the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team, who has the ambition and drive to get the job done to the best of their ability. Experience working with vulnerable people and/or Learning Disabled and Autistic People alongside line management experience is essential for the role. As the role requires the successful post holder to develop, deliver and monitor project plans; excellent time management, communication and organisational skills are key for this role.
The role is currently contracted to for three years from 1st April 2024. We are hoping the successful candidate will be able to start with us in April 2024.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £29,439 per annum (subject to increase in April 2024 to be determined)
Contract: Fixed term for 3 years from April 2024.
