Job description

Helpdesk Administrator required for a Facilities Management company based in Manchester City Centre. Our client is looking for an experienced Helpdesk Administrator to join their growing team. The purpose of this role is to provide helpdesk administration support to our divisions, engineers, contract managers and the clients. You will be responsible for first point of contact of all phone calls coming on our landline, managing support inbox, placing assisting the planning and reactive team members, raising POs and new jobs, informing all involved in callouts eta, chasing updates and job reports, updating paperwork on our system or client systems.

This role is a permanent role working 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday with flexible working hours available. 

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Answering of help desk phones and e-mails and actioning accordingly
  • Following up with site team, contractors and customers to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Administration duties – setting up jobs, raising orders, approving invoices for payment, raising invoices
  • To monitor the progress of reactive callouts ensuring compliance and any follow up works are picked up and delegated to correct department
  • To assist in managing any sub-contractors visits
  • Convey and display the Company core values of respect, trust, communication, care and commitment.
  • Open and close reactive jobs on client portal.
  • To continually monitor and develop the local administration processes and procedures
  • Support Engineers and Contract Managers in day to day requirements

 Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working on a Facilities Services Help Desk
  • Strong computer skills – Excel & Word
  • Excellent communication skills
