Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a crucial role in our organization, ensuring that our products are delivered safely and on time.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and ensure all loads are secured safely
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations and the high way code
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks this includes your daily walk around check which MUST be completed on every truck before you take it on the road
- Communicate with planners and customers to coordinate delivery schedules ensuring any problems or hold ups at sites are reported to planners as soon as possible.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries in the forms of POD's acquired from customers at sites.
- Carry out FORS silver e-learning and other courses when required as we hold a FORS Silver Accreditation
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Valid Class 1 Licence
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Ability to operate a 44 tonne arctic and trailer
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
