SalaryThe drivers that work for us are valued as a key part in our business and we recognize their quality of work and how they are able to perform without interference . We deliver an excellent service to all of our customers, making sure we are at our deliveries and collections at the correct time.
As a class one driver for us you will be either on general haulage or containers from docks to the customers at allocated delivery times. This is a tramping position and the successful candidate will be expected to sleep in their lorry 4/5 nights a week.
Your Key Responsibilities are below, but not limited to:-
*Completing daily checks on vehicles and trailers in accordance to company procedures and reporting any defects in the correct way.
*Ensuring that your vehicle is equipped with all that could be needed for safe travels.
*Planning your working / drive time to ensure you make the most of your weeks and reach your destinations at the allotted time.
*Good customer service with 'can do' attitude, politeness and courteous behaviour.
*Ensure all paperwork for loads is correct and signed.
*Ensure your vehicle is in a clean and presentable way.
*Ensuring freight is safe and secure for transit on the vehicle and also at the correct weight.
*Adhere to the road traffic transport legislation
Qualifications Specification:-
*Must have C+E category licence with no more than 6 points, no DD, DR or IN convictions.
*CPC Qualification
*Have 2 years experience for our insurance purposes.
Previous experience in containers would also be an advantage.
