Salary The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry–leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Days, afternoons or nights.
Pay Rate: Days: 14.75 / Afternoons: 15.40 / Nights: 16.15 per hour PAYE.
Location: Barnsley, S74.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
Safely and efficiently operate Class 1 vehicles to transport parcels from depot to depot across the UK. Conduct pre–trip and post–trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road. Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. A safety–first mindset. Benefits:
