HGV Class 2 Driver

Based in Glasgow, we are one of the fastest growing Laundry companies in the UK and we require HGV Class 2 drivers for an immediate start.

This is a full time PAYE employed position, rates vary but competitive.

You must have great customer service, be able to follow procedures and be resourceful. Full training is given and uniform is supplied. You will require entitlement to drive 18T Class 2 vehicles and be in possession of your Digital Tachograph and Drivers CPC card.

Due to the nature of our business, hours will vary so flexibility is required, overtime is also available. You will be required to complete deliveries within Glasgow and beyond, this will include both A to B and multidrop deliveries. You should also be prepared to work nightshift on occasion (An enhanced rate will be provided for this). This is not a 9 to 5 vacancy, this position involves evenings, weekends and also night work.

What you will be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and loading cages of laundry onto the truck.
• Helping out loading and unloading vehicles when required.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicles as per our driver operator handbook.
• Using onboarding technology to complete work notes.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Complying with all Drivers hours regulations and Tachograph regulations

What we are looking for:

• Class 2 license
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card
• A can do attitude and good time-management skills
• Being a team player is key to ensuring our collections run smoothly

Salary: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
