Job Title: HGV Class 2 RORO Driver (Temporary)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 2 RORO Driver on behalf of our client. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity to join the dynamic and thriving driving industry in Birmingham. Monday to Friday starts vary 0400 - 0600. 
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 RORO vehicle, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
- Conduct pre and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Collect and transport waste/recycling materials from commercial and residential sites to designated locations.
- Adhere to established schedules and delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any queries or concerns.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery reports.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times, both inside and out.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, actively promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A valid HGV Class 2 license is essential.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an HGV Class 2 RORO Driver.
- Excellent driving skills, with a clear understanding of road safety regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of waste/recycling regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- A professional and proactive approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
