Do you have the drive to work in horse racing? We need HGV Drivers to assist our work on live sports outside broadcasts at racecourses all over Britain. These are superb opportunities to get into horse racing. As an experienced HGV driver and horse racing enthusiast, you will have primary responsibility for the safe driving of RaceTech’s Outside Broadcast (OB) vehicles to and from racecourses. Additionally, you will be trained to operate race coverage cameras and in our OB operations including the safe rigging, operation and de-rigging of cameras along with hoist vehicles and other OB equipment. The role will also include a variety of general OB tasks to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of all technical services to our racecourses and broadcast partners. Candidates with the right approach can also learn other skills e.g. photofinish, public address and presentation cameras. You should be fully HGV qualified with a good understanding of driver regulations. Physically fit, you must be comfortable working at heights, in isolation and exposed to the elements, with strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and be part of a team. You must have a keen interest in or knowledge of horse racing and any exposure to live sports broadcasting is desirable as is any experience with cameras, lenses or photography. A willingness to learn and develop is key. You must also be prepared to travel and to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
