About Us:
Roy Braidwood & Sons Transport Ltd operate a fleet of modern 8 wheel tippers, plant and machinery. We have extensive workshop maintenance, our own fleet and external contractors' vehicles.
HGV Mechanic The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a highly competent and experienced HGV mechanic for our workshop facilities in Manchester. The position is Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm and overtime after 40 hours is available. Saturday morning availability.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in routine maintenance and repair of all makes of heavy commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles/PSVs and coaches. Being able to work unsupervised and complete the necessary documentation as required.
HGV Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
- Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation
- Recording service records and maintaining all vehicles to a high standard
- Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection
- Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment
- Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements/can do approach
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard/customer focused
- To communicate effectively with management/organised & efficient
HGV Mechanic You:
- Candidates MUST have the right to work in the UK and be able to show proof of valid documentation to confirm this
- Qualified HGV/PSV Technician
- Experience of HGV/PSV maintenance and repair
- LGV/PSV licence preferred
- Proficiency in using latest diagnostic tools
