We are currently recruiting for HGV Technicians for one of our clients in the Cardiff area, due to their expansion and being the market leader in the area.The main duties would be to ensure all jobs are completed in an acceptable time; always attempt to adhere to booked times wherever applicable; confer with the Workshop Controller/ Foreman/Chargehand aware of any problems, especially where a job time may become over-long due to those problems; ensure that all job cards and relevant paperwork are completed accurately and efficiently and handed in after job completion; all work undertaken in the workshop is recorded either electronically or mechanically if possible; all time sheets are available to Service Reception at the end of every shift; good working practices will be adhered to with respect to Health and Safety; return all workshop tooling used to its correct location; report all damage immediately; once a particular job is completed, clean up the working area and always wipe up spillages immediately; ensure all vehicles leave the workshop in a clean and tidy condition, making use of the vehicle protection items supplied and always clean off any accidental oil marks etc. when entering a vehicle be aware that your overalls may be dirty and ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect the upholstery, trim etc; use the correct clocking in and out procedures; at the end of the shift the Foreman/Chargehand is made aware of the current status of the job; adhere to Health & Safety requirements at all times and wear protective clothing, footwear, etc., provided by the Company.The hours will be on a two shift pattern Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm. Plenty of overtime available starting at time an half weekdays and double on Sundays.
