Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire

Salary: £15 - £15.75 an hour + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full - Time, Monday - Friday

The Client:

Our client is a well-established family-run dealership and vehicle repair centre, committed to providing each customer with dedicated and professional service.

The Role:

As an HGV Technician, you will undertake routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs).

Responsibilities:

-Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns.
-Replace or repair faulty components, including brakes, engines, and transmissions.
-Solder, assemble, and fabricate parts as required.
-Adhere to schematics and technical manuals for proper repair procedures.
-Use hand tools and equipment for effective repairs.
-Perform welding tasks as needed.
-Conduct road tests to ensure proper vehicle functioning.

Requirements:

-Previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or in a similar role.
-Strong mechanical understanding and working experience with HGV trucks.
-Expertise in schematics and technical manuals.
-Ability to fabricate, solder, assemble, and weld parts.
-Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
-Forklift operation experience. (Beneficial)
-Valid driving licence.

Shift:

-Week 1: 07:00 - 16:00
-Week 2: 12:00 - 21:00 (Late shift)
