Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00We are currently seeking a HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter on behalf of our Client, an Automotive Commercial Vehicle Workshop based in the Southampton area.
The successful HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter can expect a salary of up to £37,400 with OTE of circa £40,000.
Hours of work for this HGV Trailer Technician job are Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00.
Our Client is looking for a HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter to join their busy team, this is a full-time HGV Trailer Technician position and our Client is looking for an experienced HGV Trailer Technician.
Typical Duties of a HGV Trailer Technician for our client include, but are not limited to:
Carrying out repairs on Trailers according to procedures and DVSA/VOSA Standards and in a timely safe manner
Tail lift repairs, curtain repairs, axle work, ABS/EBS work
Reporting any faults/defects in accordance with the processes
Working together with the parts team to obtain the correct replacement parts and ensure they are fitted correctly
Completing relevant documents on the work you have completed including internal documents, customer documents and department of transport documentsRequirements of this HGV Trailer Technician vacancy:
Previous working experience within a HGV Technician / Fitter role
Previous experience as a Trailer/HGV Trailer Technician is Essential
Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Excellent mechanical knowledge
