HGV Trailer Technician

Your Role

At Rygor Service Solutions, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated HGV Trailer Technician, the right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service and to the highest quality.


We are looking for someone who is keen to be an integral part of an expanding and diversifying company as being part of our team is about being experts in what we do. We also put all our technicians through the IRTEC Inspection Accreditation, part of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.

Day to day you will be:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of Trailers to VOSA standard.
  • Liaise with parts department to attain parts.
  • Ensure health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
  • Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.
  • MOT preparation
  • Tail lift repairs, curtain repairs, axle work, ABS/EBS work


This role will be a great fit for you if:

  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but no essential)
  • Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualified technician) and proven experience repairing & maintaining Trailers.
  • Applicants with less experience are also welcome to apply, as training can be provided, however you must have some mechanical experience or training.
  • Experience in commercial workshop
