High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Role Overview: As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Working closely with the Deputy Head Teacher and SENCO, you will provide high-quality assistance and support to ensure all students receive the education they deserve.
High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Collaborate with the Deputy Head Teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions to support students with SEND.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs, both in mainstream classrooms and in specialist settings.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support plans for students with SEND.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Support classroom teachers in adapting and differentiating lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Help assess student progress and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of SEND provision across the school.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Act as a key point of contact for parents/carers of students with SEND, providing regular updates and facilitating effective communication.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Assist in the coordination of SEN provision and liaise with external agencies and professionals as required.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Previous experience working as a High-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within a primary school.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Experience working with students with SEND, including knowledge of different learning needs and strategies for support.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- As a High-Level Teaching Assistant & SENCO Assistant A proactive and collaborative approach to working as part of a team.
