The Purpose:  

The Foundation delivers a wide range of educational, aspirational, leadership and personal development programs designed to develop young people to achieve their potential.                                 

Based in a partner High School full time, the main responsibility of this role will be to deliver Foundation programs that support the development of student’s educational behaviours, attendance, and wellbeing. Work with internal and external partners to provide students with aspirational experiences that raise confidence and self-esteem.

Ensuring that all service level agreement objectives are met and surpassed through strategic planning, excellence in delivery, strong working relationships and continuous monitoring & evaluation.

The Role:

  • Work with the High School Partnership coordinator to provide, facilitate and deliver aspirational opportunities and experiences from both internal and external partners.
  • Build development plans that will increasingly challenge, enhance skills, shape a positive attitude and foster a confident approach to meeting objectives.
  • Plan and lead regular progress meetings with students to ensure their agreed personal development objectives remain relevant and on track.
  • Develop and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the partnership including with local community groups and organisations. 
  • Help create, develop and support a steering group network of key stakeholders to effectively manage the extended schools program. This will include, supporting the primary school and community engagement managers to successfully embed a Street Reds and primary partnership program.
  • Work with the High School Co-ordinator and recognised school representatives to manage, monitor evaluate and innovate the service level agreement objectives to ensure they remain relevant, unique and aligned to the strategic vision of the Foundation and the partner school.
  • As directed by the High School management team, maintain registers, collect all relevant data, information and evidence of good practice to support funding conditions and for the formulation of case studies.
  • Work with the High School management team to coordinate and facilitate external events to support SLA objectives and in the fostering of a team ethos within the High School Partnerships department.
  • Complete risk assessments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment at all times in accordance with Manchester United Foundation and Manchester United Football Club’s policies.
  • As directed by the High School management team, attend seminars, networking events and exhibitions relevant to the role, proactively using the information and learning to influence current and future partner school programmes and activities.
  • Ensure that the Foundation’s code of conduct is upheld in all activities, delivery and physical appearance.

The Person:

  • Education and Qualifications Demonstration of academic achievement in secondary and/or further education  Strong functional skills in Mathematics and English.
  • A full and clean UK driving licence (or recognised equivalent).
  • FA Level 2 in coaching football and relevant support qualifications.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working (paid or volunteering) with children and young people, preferably within a charitable, school or sporting environment.
  • Proven ability of engaging with a range of stakeholders and external partners in order to achieve strategic and contractual objectives.
  • Experience of scoping, delivering, monitoring and evaluating a range of physical activity programmes.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  • Excellent digital skills
  • Minimum GCSE Grade C or Level 4 in Mathematics and English.
  • Youth work qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Experience of managing partnerships and programmes, demonstrating a passion for innovation, creativity and excellence.
