The Medical Needs Teaching Service (MNTS) provides education for children and young people who are unable to attend school because of medical needs, including emotional and mental health. An opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within the MNTS. We are looking for a motivated person with experience of working in a Secondary/Primary/other education setting. The post involves multidisciplinary team working and close liaison with relevant professionals and parents/carers. Good communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and an organised, calm empathetic manner are essential.
The role requires the post holder to work independently in a variety of settings to develop, plan and participate in programmes of learning supported by an agreed framework of supervision. As such the post holder should have a driving licence and access to a car with business insurance, and be willing and able to drive across Leeds and surrounding areas.
