Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the departments diagnostic and therapeutic Sleep Service (CPAP/NIV); Delivery of inpatient domiciliary therapies and diagnostics; Reporting of diagnostic sleep studies and formulation of treatment plans; Active participation in the weekly Sleep and Ventilation clinics; Organisation and contribution to both weekly and fortnightly MDT meetings; Produce accurate and comprehensive technical reports on the range of tests performed. In accordance with appropriate national and departmental guidelines; Provide strategic direction and support to the Chief Physiologist in developing and improving current practices and pathways; Knowledge and skills will reflect recent advances in technology, such as remote monitoring applications; Modern approach to service development and innovation; Required to work independently and responsible for own workload; Contribution to education and teaching; Reporting of advanced Lung Function tests; Performance of, and assistance with, testing more difficult patients and procedures; Takes responsibility for the safe use of expensive equipment £30,000+.
