LTF Recruitment is collaborating with a Primary School in Derby to hire an experienced HLTA who can work independently and as part of a team, particularly with children having special educational needs like ASD, ADHD, behavioural issues, and developmental delays. This candidate should have a strong understanding of these diverse needs.

What will I be doing?

• Help maintain a well-organized, tidy, pupil friendly and interactive learning environment.
• Working 1:1 and with small groups to deliver Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics interventions.
• Engaging SEN pupils and encouraging interaction with lessons and the curriculum.
• Liaising with the class teacher to feedback on progress.
• Potential to cover PPA across the school.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working within a school.
• An excellent understanding of special educational needs
• A flexible, can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Level 4 TA qualification desirable, experience as a TA are encouraged to apply
