Description

No day will be the same - here are some of the highlights

We are looking for candidates based in Maidstone or the surrounding areas, as this is the heart of where we operate. We have a dedicated sales team, so you won’t be expected to close deals, although as a surveyor you will offer huge support to the sales team by handling queries.
We’re looking for a professional, vibrant, and enthusiastic person who can transfer their skills to help our customers with their Air Source Heat Pump installation journey. Experience in surveying is not essential for the position but having worked within a customer facing role is essential and full training will be provided.
You’ll be responsible for surveying customers properties both in person and via video call. In this role you will ensure the surveys you complete provide all the information needed to be able to accurately quote for the works required in their home. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for elements of the initial installation design including identifying and documenting potential pipe routes and locations of the system parts, so our installation team have an accurate plan of the layout of the property and some aspects of the work required to complete the installation. You’ll be responsible for covering an area but will sometimes be required to support your peers in covering surveys across various locations.
This role is a key function for our business and ensures we can deliver high quality design specifications prior to commencing installations in our customers’ homes. This is a vital role in supporting the growth of our business to deliver a smooth and ultimately successful installation process.
Accountabilities
  • You’ll be representing Good Energy in a professional, vibrant, and enthusiastic way creating a comfortable environment when entering a customers’ home.
  • Delivering high-quality surveys of customers properties and initiating aspects of the installation design for each customer prior to the technical design.
  • Support our customers throughout the initial stages of their air source heat pump installation journey, helping ensure their system will operate as expected and they have a full understanding of their heating system in advance of its installation.
  • Help provide guidance to our sales executives who, when discussing systems with customers, may require survey related assistance and support to help give customers the confidence they need for their buying decisions.
  • Ensure we effectively collate various compliance related documents to ensure we meet our industry and regulatory requirements as part of every customer installation.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate with other Good Energy teams and colleagues to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Demonstrate a high level of financial acumen, being able to effectively manage the customer expectation when it comes to cost and providing them with sound advice and guidance surrounding cutting cost versus system efficiency.
  • Working to SLA’s from survey to proposal, and final design discussions with our customers
  • You will also proactively identify where improvements can be implemented, alongside the rest of the survey team.

What you'll need to succeed

You don’t need surveying experience but we’re keen to hear from candidates who have face to face customer service experience. Once full training has been provided and you’ve gained product knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps, you’ll be travelling to customers' homes and confidently communicating plans and the next steps of installation.
You’ll be able to relay and translate technical information to potential customers, using the support of our technical design team and our field-based installation team to ensure efficient and cost-effective heat pump system designs and final installations. All this whilst working in a dynamic, agile, and rewarding environment with a forward-thinking team who are disrupting and re-defining the energy retail industry.
