Job role: Service Manager - Homeless Service
Location: Swadlincote
Hours of Work: Full time - Monday to Friday with shared on call
Salary: circa £31000

Brook Street Social Care in collaboration with a leading charity, are seeking a driven, pro-active and empathetic service manager to oversee the operational day to day running of their Homeless service in Swadlincote.
This is great opportunity to work in a fast-paced 24hr hostel to support people having a difficult time. You will lead an amazing team of support staff and provide the greatest level of support possible for people who are residing in the hostel. The vacancy covers the Swadlincote area which alongside the hostel also provides housing related support for adults in the community. People using this service may have experience of mental health issues, drug or alcohol misuse, or a history of offending behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person-centred manner
- Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance, and advice
- Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
- Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy
- Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks)
What we need from you:
- At least three years experience managing a service including a staff team and budget in a care or support setting
- Personal or professional experience of homelessness
- Professional experience of working with clients who display chaotic or challenging behaviour
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- A qualification in health, social care or housing is desirable, with full support bring provided to secure a formal qualification if required

For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid a salary of £31,629 with a competitive monthly car allowance.
