Job description

The role

The Role:

An exciting opportunity to manage a professional and specialist homeownership service area, ensuring that the service is business driven and complies with the Council’s statutory and contractual obligations.

The post holder will contribute to the transformation of Exchequer services and be responsible for the provision of high quality, outcome focused and responsive professional and specialist housing services to a range of different audiences.

About You:

You will be responsible for maximising income from service charges and fee paying services, thus contributing to the financial probity of the Council’s Housing Revenue Account.

You will lead the contact for system development for service charge billing, raising service charge liabilities and adjustments onto accounts, and all financial reconciliations relating to service charges (including preparing financial information for closing the housing revenue account and mortgage portfolio).

You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Housing Revenue Account accounting principles, and primary, secondary, and tertiary legislation relevant to service charges and homeownership management, particularly in the public sector.

Must have an excellent understanding of homeownership management with the ability to prepare the annual service charge statements of account.
