We are looking for a fantastic Locum Pharmacy Assistant to work with our hospital client in Calne/Swindon. If you're looking for your next challenge, congratulations! You've just found it! Info below:

* Job Title: Band 2/3 Pharmacy Assistant
* Location: Calne/Swindon
* Duration: 6 months
* Schedule: Monday to Friday (part time also considered) 8.30am - 5.00pm (1 hour lunch)
* Start Date: January/February 2024
* End Date: 6 months contract with a view to extend!
* Rate of pay: �12 - 13.50 per hour depending on banding and prior experience

A Day in the Life of a Hospital Pharmacy Assistant

As a specialist Band 3Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role assisting across the hospital dispensary and stores team.

* No prior hospital experience required - training will be given here!
* Dispensing duties in the inpatient dispensary
* Assisting with dispensing prescriptions and medications
* Looking after the pharmacy stores area where stock is kept
* There could be some stock ordering work required here too
* Other general dispensary tasks likely

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

* Some form of prior pharmacy work experience
* Ideally an NVQ2 in Pharmacy or relevant pharmacy based qualification
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Working hours and contract duration:

This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, but hours can be flexible. The contract is for 6 months (Jan 2024 - June 2024) with a potential to extend.
