Are you a caring and motivated Administrator based in the B&NES area? 

We are looking for a Bank Ward Clerk/Administrator to join our busy community hospital inpatient units.  You will join a team who are focused on delivering impeccable administration duties to our staff and service users  to really make our service users and staff feel the difference. 

You will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service; prioritising their workload at all times, managing unpredictable situations using reason, intellect and professional questioning.

Although this role will be based primarily at St Martin’s Hospital there may on occasion be cross-working at Paulton Hospital.  Both locations have free onsite parking.

Package DescriptionAs a Bank Ward Clerk/Administrator, you’ll be part of our valued team in Bath and North East Somerset.

Main ResponsibilitiesYour days will be busy and varied, and include providing a full confidential administration service to the wards, using your own initiative and occasionally without direct supervision.  You will contribute to a team environment, remain calm under pressure and be sympathetic with patients, relatives, Consultants and other healthcare staff to help ensure a proficient service for both patients and clinicians.

The Ideal CandidateThe essential qualities we are looking for in our applicants are:


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with a range of people on a day to day basis.
Administrative experience in a busy, customer facing environment.
Flexible approach to work.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good organisational skills.
Confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.


It would be desirable if you have Ward Clerk experience but full training will be provided.
