A brand-new opportunity has just come up for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at a specialist hospital in Surrey, led by of the UK’s most renowned providers of specialist elective health services, on a fixed-term basis (1 year).
Fully “Good”-rated by the CQC, the hospital offers surgical and medical care across a broad range of specialties for patients from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, and beyond. Pharmacy services play a crucial role in the surgical process and the management of pain, osteoporosis, urinary conditions, and many other health issues seen at the hospital; in particular, the team is closely integrated with the growing oncology unit to aid provision of effective cancer therapies.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will join a forward-thinking, innovative team in delivering an optimised clinical service across the hospital – dispensing and distributing medicines accurately, maintaining appropriate stores, and providing effective medicines management services – to support the best possible patient outcomes and experience. You will have the opportunity to practice across the dispensary, wards, and oncology services in this role.
This is a full-time (37.5h), fixed-term position (1 year) for a hospital-based Pharmacy Technician.
Person specification:
- (Essential) NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services Skills / Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians / equivalent qualification
- (Essential) Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- (Desirable) Previous Hospital Pharmacy experience
