Hostel Assistant

We are currently seeking someone fun and enthusiastic to join our team at our charming 46-bed youth hostel nestled in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in guests with a warm and friendly attitude
- Assist guests with any inquiries and provide recommendations for local attractions
- Set up and oversee our hostel breakfast
-Making beds and cleaning all rooms and common areas
- Help create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all guests
- Provide support to other team members as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Excellent Customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience, housekeeping experience, experience with accommodation booking systems and fluency in another language are all a plus
- Previous experience with accommodation booking software a plus but training will be given
- Must be friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to creating a positive guest experience

Salary: £10.42 per hour
