Your next role
Lydiard Hotel and Conference Centre, owned and operated by Swindon Borough Council, has recently undergone an ambitious refurbishment of its 33 bedrooms and transformation of its function and bar areas to enable the hotel to offer a new fresh service to the residents and visitors of Swindon. We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to be responsible for the operational aspects of the hotel, from housekeeping to bar staff. This role will work with the Head of Delivery and Assurance to deliver a high-quality Guest Experience for everyone that uses the Hotel facilities. If we are hosting their wedding, to a single cream tea in the restaurant we want every guest to leave the hotel feeling like they are special.
You must be passionate about delivering excellent standards of customer service with a focus on the bottom line. Have a feel for moving trends within the hotel industry and the ability to influence changes within the hotel to meet these needs. An impeccable eye for detail in the delivery of all the services to ensure we leave a lasting impression with each and every guest.
Have excellent organisational skills to manage the demands of a busy hotel, to inspire and lead a team of delivering the companies brand standards whist keeping in mind the historic nature of the location and achieving value for money and to achieve maximum profits.
As Swindon delivers its ambitious growth plan over the next five years, you will play an important role in supporting the expansion and ensuring our services are delivered in a modern and efficient way.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
