Duty Manager
As the Duty Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the management team by actively overseeing daily operations during your shift. You'll assist in various departments as needed and address any issues that arise, to be communicated back to the General Manager.
Communicate with guests, welcome regular guests and ensure all arrivals are prepared for and welcome notes written for guest bedrooms. Highlight any VIP guests that are due for arrival and ask to be called when they check in to introduce hotel management. Deal with any complaints that might arise in the absence of the guest relations manager and escalate as necessary.
Communicate with employees to ensure that work duties are distributed accordingly, liaise with departmental supervisors or management depending who is the senior person on duty for each area. Help with problem solving and encourage motivation within the teams.
Report any maintenance issues and check if any scheduled repairs have been completed in the appropriate time and to the correct level, liaise with facilities manager when on duty.
Be fully aware of all emergency procedures. Lead the hotel team in a professional manner when it proves necessary to evacuate the hotel after the sounding of a fire alarm. Act as the fire officer until such time as the fire authority arrive at
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years in a hotel with at least 1 year management experience

- Professional manner and high standard of personal presentation
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
