Job Description: Hotel General Manager

Location: Dresden

Salary: €70.000 - €85.000

The role:

You will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient management, and profitability.

You'll be responsible for strategic planning, staff management, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning across all departments (e.g., front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance).

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction.

Monitor and manage the hotel's performance against established objectives and benchmarks.

Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department managers and staff.

Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional development among employees.

Set performance goals and standards for each department, ensuring alignment with the overall hotel objectives.

Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction and experience by overseeing service standards and addressing guest feedback or complaints promptly.

Implement strategies to enhance guest loyalty and attract new customers, ensuring repeat business.

Ensure effective guest communication and engagement throughout their stay.

Develop and manage the hotel's budget, monitor expenses, and maximize revenue streams.

Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Implement revenue management strategies to optimize room rates, occupancy, and profitability.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute sales and marketing plans to attract guests and increase revenue.

Build relationships with potential clients, partners, and local businesses to drive sales and promotional opportunities.

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and employment laws.

Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership and managerial skills.

Excellent understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and financial management.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and stakeholders effectively.

Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial reports and make strategic decisions.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Entrepreneurial Mindset needed

English and German language is required

A great knowledge of the Dresden market is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certification in Hotel Management or relevant professional certifications.

Proficiency in hotel management software and technology.

Proven track record of successfully managing a profitable hotel with high guest satisfaction ratings.
