House/Grounds Manager – Full-time Daily – HKC21768-CS/HGM

A House/Grounds Manager is required for a private house in Hertford (SG13)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 gross per annum – depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Duties:

· 50% of time in the office doing admin & paperwork

· Booking in & supervising maintenance/servicing all machinery & equipment, both internal & external

· Managing the house & grounds

· Groundsperson

· Handyperson

· Basic electrical & plumbing skills

· Cleaning patio/garden furniture/BBQ

· Driving duties (occasional)

· Liaising with contractors

· Small repairs

· Ensuring septic tank/generators/air con units/diesel & oil tank are functioning correctly

· Running errands

· Helping with feeding & looking after cats, including taking cats to vets

· Mowing & helping with ground maintenance when needed

· Driving duties (occasional)

You must:

· Have previous experience as a House/Grounds Manager in a private house with checkable references to support your application

· Hold a current DBS or be willing to undertake one

· Be a driver with own car

· Be able to ensure the smooth running of the house & grounds

· Be tech savvy & able to troubleshoot

· Be organised & good with paperwork

· Like cats

· Be comfortable working in all weathers

· Have a good level of English
