Housekeeper

Our client, Moorland Garden Nursing Home, is committed to providing the highest quality care to our residents. Their beautiful facility is nestled in the serene countryside, offering a peaceful and picturesque work environment.

They are looking for a Housekeeper to join the team in  Moorland Gardens, Yelverton, PL20 6DA. To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Centre, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications 

Required:

• Team player

• Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list

• Ability to work on own initiative

Desired:

• Experience/qualification in care for relevant Service User category

Main responsibilities

Cleaning

• Daily cleaning

  • Empty waste bins and wipe out

  • Vacuum throughout

  • Shake out cushions

  • Clean dining rooms/lounges/toilets

  • Clean taps and sinks

  • Clean soap dispenser outlets

  • Clean toothbrush holders

  • Spot clean all floorings

  • Wash all bathroom/toilet/en-suite floors

• Weekly cleaning

  • Polish all mirrors

  • Clean all pipe work in toilets

  • Dust handrails and radiators

  • Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs) and vacuum and dust beneath/behind

  • Wash out metal wastepaper bins

  • Dust and polish furniture and windowsills

  • Wash lino floors

  • Shampoo carpets as requested by Home Manager

• Week one    Dust light bulbs and fittings

• Week two    Dust curtain rails

• Week three Dust pictures

• Week four   En-suites deep clean

• Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
