Housekeeper

We are looking for someone to join our Roost on a full-time permanent basis, with the successful candidate working 5 days out of 7 between 8am & 8pm. Our new Housekeeper will become a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Myrtle Property in Liverpool.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Salary: £23,400.00 per annum

The Site: Myrtle Court and The Railyard are situated just a stones throw away from the University of Liverpools campus and are popular with first year and international students due to the proximity to the university. The properties shared social spaces, such as our games room and TV lounge, and our property events, which are held throughout the year, give our residents the time to relax, unwind, and make new friends.

As a housekeeper at Student Roost, you will join the rest of the onsite property team in being the face of Student Roost for our wonderful residents. The integral service youll provide is just one of the amazing ways that we keep customer service and safety at the top of our agenda.

Youll provide a first-class cleaning service within our purpose-built student accommodation, and ensure that all assigned areas are clean, neat and tidy. Youll have amazing attention to detail, so that your property is always looking sparkling and inviting. The pride you take in your work will be visible for all to see, so that our residents can be equally proud of their home away from home.

Psst… there are some challenges too

Clearing up after a fun weekend: We all like to have fun, and this is certainly true for our residents. There may be a requirement for you to clear up common space that has been partied in over the weekend. This is not the most fun job, but you will be provided with full PPE as we want to make sure you are being kept safe.

Summer turnaround: This is when our residents leave us and its the busiest time in our calendar. It can involve clearing out residents rooms, checking the contract cleaners are doing their jobs, and just generally helping out.

Its going to be an exciting journey so we thought wed give you some insight into what you can expect to do and learn in the first six months of your role.

Within…

1 month You will start to understand the culture and values of Student Roost. You will know your team members and what makes them tick. Youll have an understanding of the calendar of requirements of your property and be starting to find your rhythm of working.

3 months You will have met and built strong high-quality relationships with our people, residents, and colleagues. Youll be working autonomously for large parts of your working schedule and managing your own tasks. Youll have successfully developed a routine with the rest of the team on site, and youll be confident in your remit.

6 monthsYou will be well underway to being settled. Youll be confident in bringing new ideas to the team and listening to suggestions from others. Youll have a strong understanding of your compliance responsibilities and be taking the lead on these activities. Youll have an amazing reputation within your property as someone who is always willing to help.
