Kirkintilloch Nursery are looking for a part-time Housekeeper/Cleaner to help with end of night cleaning, enabling us to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control. Initially we would be looking for our housekeeper to work 2 hours per day, 5.30pm to 7.30 pm with the potential to increase once our capacity increases (new nursery).
The ideal candidate would also be willing to assist in the maintenance of our outdoor areas, ensuring the entrance area and garden areas are clean, tidy and maintained. This includes being responsible for weeding and general tidy up of these spaces, ensuring good kerb appeal.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with established standards and procedures
- Assist in regular weeding, cleaning and maintenance of our outdoor spaces and entrance area
-Clean and sanitize designated areas, including floors, kitchen areas, sinks, restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Empty and clean bins and replace liners
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, and skirting boards
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors
- Clean windows, window ledges and glass surfaces
- Restock supplies as needed
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the manager
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
