In January 2024, we acquired the 17th century Barnsley House hotel that is tucked away in the quintessential Cotswold’s village of Barnsley, just four miles from Cirencester. THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.
We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG – and The Village Pub and are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team.
The Role:
As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will be supporting the team by working alongside our Housekeeping Managers with the development of our housekeeping staff. You will also carry out regular checks, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are clean and presentable at all times. At THE PIG we have a variety of unique rooms, both within the main buildings and out within the grounds of the hotel. You will need to have a pro-active attitude and the flexibility to work in any of the assigned areas, plus the physicality to carry out any required tasks.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Oversee the turnaround of rooms, ensuring our hotel rooms and well-prepared for incoming guests.
- Support our Room Attendants with the cleaning of hotel rooms and public areas – chipping in where necessary.
- Report any snagging or damage to our Housekeeping Manager and Maintenance Team.
- Support Housekeeping Management with stock and control of housekeeping supplies.
- Lead by example, supporting the training and development of our housekeeping team.
Skills & Experience:
Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role and environment is required. We are seeking for someone with a can-do positive attitude that thrives from working in an active and attention to detailed role.
