JUST ONE are seeking a HOUSING AND SUPPORT ASSISTANT to join our CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS TEAM in WAVERTREE, LIVERPOOL.
Due to the nature of this role, REGULAR TRAVEL IS REQUIRED so you will need a FULL CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENSE and ACCESS TO YOUR OWN VEHICLE along with appropriate VEHICLEBUSINESS INSURANCE- COMPANY VAN WILL BE AVAILABLE AT TIMES.
THIS ROLE OCCASIONALLY REQUIRES OVERNIGHT STAYS DUE TO THE LOCATION OF OUR PROPERTIES BEING BASED ACROSS BOTH ENGLAND AND WALES.
This role will involve all aspects of supporting both the service and housing manager for our Children and Young Persons department that provides accommodation and Support to 1625-year-olds leaving the care system. The job will involve regularly visiting and inspecting all properties that are used within the service, each inspection will cover the condition of the property, recording meter readings where required, and identifying and reporting responsive repairs as well as ensuring all properties have the appropriate furnishing for the Young People Just ONE provide support to.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Identify new properties to support Business Development and communicate with Landlords/Neighbours/ Letting Agents/police of existing properties
o Set up property folders
o Support the team in achieving all turnaround targets for repair works in properties and ensuring that when void works have been completed, that an available 'To Let' inspection is conducted within two working days maximum.
o To contribute to risk assessments, spot checks and ensure record keeping is up to date for all properties and to raise any concerns, particularly concerning safeguarding as soon as possible with the Manager or Housing Officer.
o Manage health & safety checks for properties and participate in weekly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
o Identify contractors and manage quotes/invoices for jobs.
o Support the Housing Officer to ensure that residents understand and keep to the conditions of their occupancy agreement and all relevant documentation has been signed.

Skills & Qualifications:
o Knowledge of Housing Act preferred
o FULL CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENSE, ACCESS TO YOUR OWN VEHICLE AND BUSINESS INSURANCE
o Ability to work with multiple external agencies
o EXPERIENCE IN HOUSING ESSENTIAL
