Reed Business Support are pleased to be working with one of Scotland's leading Social Housing providers on a temporary Housing Manager. The position, working within the Factoring side of the organisation, is expected to last 3 - 6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing development managers, maintaining tenant engagement, and overseeing repairs and maintenance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidate with experience in the Property, Housing, or Factoring sectors to work for an ethical, respected employer.

Key responsibilities:
- Managing a patch of 17 Independent Living developments in Edinburgh
- Line managing several development managers - this will include supporting with staff queries, regular check-ins, and approving mileage and annual leave
- Overseeing planned and reactive repairs and maintenance requirements
- Obtaining quotes for repairs and maintenance from contractors
- Contacting property owners when required and holding owner meetings
- Handling complaints from owners, investigating matters as required
- Acting as a general point of contact for owners
- Ad hoc duties as required
Person specifications:
- Previous experience working in Housing, Factoring, or Property
- Good understanding of repairs and maintenance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with owners, staff, and contractors
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong IT skills
- Full driving license and own vehicle required
Desirable:
- Previous line management experience
- Previous experience in Social Housing and / or retirement homes
