The aim of the Complex Case and Care Leaver Team is help sustain tenancies of newly housed tenants within the initial 12-weeks of their tenancy or 6 months for care leavers. This role involves providing one to one support and achieving positive outcomes by identifying and assisting newly housed tenants at risk of tenancy failure and to enable them to maintain their tenancies and make improvements to their circumstances and well-being. The role includes visiting tenants and may include managing and supervising staff. The service covers the whole city.
The role involves proactive tenant engagement and visits to provide focussed support in housing related matters including settling into the property, improving financial capabilities through welfare benefit advice, and empowering them to manage their tenancy. Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate great communication and customer service skills as well as understand customer needs and facilitate cross-service solutions.
