A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Part TimeHousing Officer to join one of Adecco Public Sector's smallest but most improved housing clients in a permanent post, paying between GBP24,000-32,00 per annum (dependent on whether you work 3 or 4 days each week). The post holder will be working from our client's Camden office.
Duties include :
Day to day management of 60 flats (majority are 1-2 bed flats, there is also a couple of studios and a 3 bed house). There are 100 residents in total.
Managing 1 caretaker and 1 book keeper who works 1 days per week.
Liasing with contractors is required for repairs issues. And must liaise with the book keeper to find out who is in arrears and action accordingly.
Attending meetings of the Co-operative and Management Committee as may be reasonably required, providing information, support and advice. It should be noted that meetings are held in the evenings. There are 14 meetings (management and general) each year. Managing arrears in accordance with policy and private statements to tenants and Management Committee as required. Following through on any legal actions on behalf of the organisation, e.g. small claims, evictions, etc., seeking advice and/or instruction from Management Committee as required. Supervising and maintaining close liaison with the caretaker on matters of day-to-day concern; to give physical assistance to the caretaker in tasks where health & safety considerations require 2-person attendance.
Allocations and lettings of properties is also required, when properties become void.
The role reports into the management committee and the successful candidate must be comfortable with presenting to a board. You will be directly managed by the Employment sub commitee.
There is a lot of autonomy with the role and largely the successful candidate will be working alone.
