Housing Resettlement Officer

We are looking for a Housing Resettlement Officer to join a Local Authority to assist with customers, including those with refugee status, who are in need of temporary accommodation. This is a hybrid role (with three days in the office) based in Hertfordshire.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Liasing with landlords of the council’s private sector housing options
- Assisting the Homelessness Prevention team in helping customers
- Assisting with finding individuals accommodation as part of a ‘move on’ plan
- Providing customer service advice to customers regarding repayments, charges and arrears

Candidate requirements:

- Experience of working with customers with a refugee status
- Experience of working with private sector landlords
- Experience of providing accommodation offers and the associated assessments
- An understanding of relevant housing and homelessness legislation
