Job description

Job Description

At Turning Tides, we are committed to addressing the complex challenges of homelessness and providing comprehensive support services to individuals in need. Our mission is to end local homelessness and create a community where everyone has access to safe and stable housing, along with the support they need to rebuild their lives. As we continue to expand our efforts and make a positive impact, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Services Manager to join our team.

Roffey Place is a high support service for 50 residents. Your role will be to continue to build on the success of the service and to consistently review, develop and adapt its delivery to meet the needs and aspirations of clients, including those who are actively using substances, have a dual diagnosis or mental health conditions or have experienced multiple exclusions from services.

You will ensure a personalised and trauma informed approach to work with people to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion, ending the need to sleep rough.

You will contribute to the strategic development of this service and the organisation and to lead on service delivery – providing operational consistency, overseeing health and safety and maintaining quality.

ABOUT YOU

You are a compassionate and driven leader with a strong commitment to social justice and a deep understanding of homelessness issues. You have a proven track record of success in managing homelessness services and supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to build meaningful relationships make you the perfect fit for this role.

SKILLS

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis, with the ability to use technology and software tools effectively.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated understanding of social justice principles.
